If you are planning to visit Santorini flying with EasyJet, read new cabin bag rules on flights departing from 2 July.

Passengers on flights operated by Easy Jet who choose to bring their luggage on the plane this summer will have to be packed more closely because of the 2 July comes into force new rules on hand luggage.

Due to lack of storage space the amount of hand luggage allowed on flights decreases by 37%, announced from the airline.

In order to be allowed to carry luggage with you in the aircraft cabin passengers will have to comply with the new measures: only luggage that fits measures 50X40 cm, including 20 cm of wheels, pockets and handles, will be able to enter the cabin and will be guaranteed place for disposal.

“Thanks to our industry leading load factors (89%) and seat configuration easyJet carries around 40 more passengers on each flight than our rivals. Because of this, overhead locker space on board our aircraft is limited and so on busy flights we are not always able to fit everyone’s cabin bag in the cabin,” a statement from the carrier said.
